What you should know about Lakeside Sewing Ltd
When a need arose for boat canvas repair in the Bobcaygeon area in 1980, in a laundry room with a domestic sewing machine, it was answered in a very simple but effective way, replacing zippers and sewing on patches. We've come a long way. In 1986 we hired our first 2 full time seasonal employees to meet with the demand of the constantly expanding resale and wholesale clientele. It took a full 2 weeks to complete the job and, for the record, the top is still functional! Today that same top would be completed in roughly 8 hours. When a call came to do something a little more ambitious, equipment and materials, but completely lacking in skill, undaunted, to replace a full convertible top, the answer was 'of course we can'. We are now able to book work year round and in the height of the boating season our team us 5 members strong.
